The events of early 2020 have led us on a Journey to rethink social environments and digital experiences. Within an intense two month research and implementation phase we were able to redesign classical paradigms of digital communication and visualization. The outcome is Journee. A social media platform inviting users to come together, explore endless space, and witness high quality storytelling in virtual worlds. We aim to connect everyone, everywhere to everything.

Project

The project Journee is a fully implemented demonstration for people to enjoy digital environments. We enable cutting edge photorealistic experiences and social media interaction directly from the browser. Conventional user devices are often limited in their ability to display high end 3d environments. We therefore decided to store and calculate the virtual world for our guests directly in the cloud. Our technology enables hundreds and even thousands of users to explore new worlds and interact with each other at the same time. This core method enables us to redefine a sense of togetherness for all kinds of physical live events instantly on every device. The space as well as the user interface is fully customizable and can adapt to all use cases. From brand spaces and product reveals to museums, conferences and unplugged live concerts on the moon.

Virtual vs Real

Our space defines a new intersection between the digital and the physical world. The physical world is full of limitations, but also poetic stimulations. The digital world on the other hand is an abstraction of information flooding our audiovisual perceptions. We aim to rethink new narrations, creativity and communication in between those opposing worlds. How do we define that we belong to each other in a digital space? How can we teleport instantly to every spot, express ourselves, play games or simply relax. We believe that our technology represents the most advanced experience to feel together and the most responsible to our planet.
